Summary

Chloe Brown is a chronically ill computer geek with a goal, a plan, and a list。 After almost—but not quite—dying, she’s come up with seven directives to help her “Get a Life”, and she’s already completed the first: finally moving out of her glamorous family’s mansion。 The next items?

• Enjoy a drunken night out。
• Ride a motorbike。
• Go camping。
• Have meaningless but thoroughly enjoyable sex。
• Travel the world with nothing but hand luggage。
• And。。。 do something bad。

But it's not easy being bad, even when you've written out step-by-step guidelines。 What Chloe needs is a teacher, and she knows just the man for the job: Redford 'Red' Morgan。

With tattoos and a motorbike, Red is the perfect helper in her mission to rebel, but as they spend more time together, Chloe realises there's much more to him than his tough exterior implies。 Soon she's left wanting more from him than she ever expected 。 。 。 maybe there's more to life than her list ever imagined?

This was such a fun read!! I was rather refreshed by how each character’s trauma didn’t turn them nasty to each other。 A lot of books, when trauma triggers a character or when things get tough, they name call and say things that they regret。 They hurt each other yes, but it never became a personal attack。 Some of the dialogue was too cringey even for me, but the relationship still felt real。

Lindo, perfeito, incrível! Realmente esse livro é uma dose de serotonina na veia e me vi chorando que nem um bebê ao final do livro de tão feliz e tão fofo que foi, recomendo demais!

why did i read this one last? i was waiting for the portuguese version and IT DIDNT FUCKING CAME and i couldn’t wait。 it’s been really great to read so many different romances, it hs been helpful to figure out what bothers me and what makes me uncomfortable。 for example, i feel like this one had a bit too much steam for my ace heart, and even though ive read books far far more steamy, i guess i could relate more with these mc so it bothered me more, if that makes sense。 still, i think everyone s why did i read this one last? i was waiting for the portuguese version and IT DIDNT FUCKING CAME and i couldn’t wait。 it’s been really great to read so many different romances, it hs been helpful to figure out what bothers me and what makes me uncomfortable。 for example, i feel like this one had a bit too much steam for my ace heart, and even though ive read books far far more steamy, i guess i could relate more with these mc so it bothered me more, if that makes sense。 still, i think everyone should read the brown sisters serie and if you like romances you MUST, because these have some much needed awareness and realness that is def lacking in the romance department。 toodles 。。。more

I feel bad giving this such a low rating because I know so many people love this series, but wow。 This genre just really isn't for me and neither was this particular story and its characters。 I quite enjoyed Chloe as a protagonist, the representation in the book was really great and I thought there were some quite funny/cute moments。 Other than that, I struggled to feel motivated to read this book as I found the plot to be uninspiring and Red to be insufferably subservient as a love interest, wh I feel bad giving this such a low rating because I know so many people love this series, but wow。 This genre just really isn't for me and neither was this particular story and its characters。 I quite enjoyed Chloe as a protagonist, the representation in the book was really great and I thought there were some quite funny/cute moments。 Other than that, I struggled to feel motivated to read this book as I found the plot to be uninspiring and Red to be insufferably subservient as a love interest, which isn't really to my taste at all。 It seemed to me like their attraction, at times, revolved around shared traumas which made me a little uncomfortable。 I also found some of the smut to be a little cringe-inducing。 I don't necessarily think that Hibbert is a bad writer at all and, from what I've seen, she's one of the better modern romance writers but overall this story and this genre just aren't for me。Edit: no man or woman who actually rides a motorbike should allow anyone to ride with them without proper gear, ie。 gloves, jacket, boots, unless they have a flagrant disregard for their safety。 It's such a small quibble but this really bothered me。 。。。more

Super cute。 I loved Chloe and Red both。 While there are lots of nice steamy bits, the real fantasy is a beautiful tattooed man going to therapy。 Yes please

Liked it but not loved it。 Everyone loved it so much that I thought this one would be an easy 5/5 but it wasn't :( It was nice, funny, well written and I really loved it at the beginning but at some point, it got a little boring and too cheesy。 Liked it but not loved it。 Everyone loved it so much that I thought this one would be an easy 5/5 but it wasn't :( It was nice, funny, well written and I really loved it at the beginning but at some point, it got a little boring and too cheesy。 。。。more

Everyone who i’ve seen that has done a review for this book is utterly in love with it and it’s series。 I feel really sad to give it this rating but I just couldn’t even finish the book。 I got 100 pages in and i just stopped。 I don’t like the bluntness of the writing style and I understand how people like it but it’s just not for me。 The whole time I felt really annoyed with Chloe, which caused me to only want to read for Red。 However, I just felt like i didn’t care about either of them the more Everyone who i’ve seen that has done a review for this book is utterly in love with it and it’s series。 I feel really sad to give it this rating but I just couldn’t even finish the book。 I got 100 pages in and i just stopped。 I don’t like the bluntness of the writing style and I understand how people like it but it’s just not for me。 The whole time I felt really annoyed with Chloe, which caused me to only want to read for Red。 However, I just felt like i didn’t care about either of them the more I read。 I felt no connection with either character, and the writing annoyed me so much。 It makes me sad I spent money on this book but I guess you live and you learn! 。。。more

4。25 stars。 This book talks a fair amount about endorphins, and to be honest, it gives them as well。 I had a half-smile for a lot of the book and laughed out loud a few times。 It’s just generally a light hearted piece of fiction and just so enjoyable。 I really enjoyed the book and am fully looking forward to the next in the series。 It was also lovely to read about fibromyalgia in a character。 A good friend and my mother both have this illness, and it seems that Talia either has it herself or rea 4。25 stars。 This book talks a fair amount about endorphins, and to be honest, it gives them as well。 I had a half-smile for a lot of the book and laughed out loud a few times。 It’s just generally a light hearted piece of fiction and just so enjoyable。 I really enjoyed the book and am fully looking forward to the next in the series。 It was also lovely to read about fibromyalgia in a character。 A good friend and my mother both have this illness, and it seems that Talia either has it herself or really did the research。 Definitely recommended。 。。。more

Look, it was not bad。 I didn't particularly love the book but I didn't hate it too。 Which is good, right?Maybe I had too many expectations。Anyway, I would recommend this book if you're feeling very low and need a story of two broken people who know they are broken and try to get better。(It's probably more than what you're doing。)3。5 stars。 Look, it was not bad。 I didn't particularly love the book but I didn't hate it too。 Which is good, right?Maybe I had too many expectations。Anyway, I would recommend this book if you're feeling very low and need a story of two broken people who know they are broken and try to get better。(It's probably more than what you're doing。)3。5 stars。 。。。more

I loved these characters so much!! the story was fun, i love how physically disabilities was addressed。 the last conflict did seem forced and out of place though and the only reason i’m giving 4 stars! amazing romance。

This was a cute book but just I didn’t feel it was set up super well and the ending was rushed。 I liked the characters and think they could have been further described to make them a little more three dimensional but I was rooting for them the whole time! A bit of a rinse and repeat plot but a nice enough story。

This was such a good book Chloe Brown, and Red Morgan were wonderful and realistic characters。 Their story heartwarming, funny, steamy, emotional, and well written。 I have a very dear and beautiful friend who suffers the same chronic illness as Chloe, making it more poignant at times。 Chloe, just like my friend, has such a fighting spirit and are determined not to let this illness beat them。 Loved the chemistry, teasing and banter between Chloe and Red。 They both have some issues, but they are s This was such a good book Chloe Brown, and Red Morgan were wonderful and realistic characters。 Their story heartwarming, funny, steamy, emotional, and well written。 I have a very dear and beautiful friend who suffers the same chronic illness as Chloe, making it more poignant at times。 Chloe, just like my friend, has such a fighting spirit and are determined not to let this illness beat them。 Loved the chemistry, teasing and banter between Chloe and Red。 They both have some issues, but they are so good for each other。 Chloe wanted Red as much as he wanted her, but he didn’t push it。 There was something about Red he was patient, understanding and kindhearted he’s a favourite of mine。 “This is your spot。” 🥰 This was my first book by Talia Hibbert, and it won’t be my last! She has such a wonderful way of describing things that mean you become fully engaged in the story。 My next paperback read will be the next book which is Chloe’s sister story, Take a Hint, Dani Brown。 I’m looking to reading that one。 。。。more

4。5? Potentially? I have a feeling this will be one I revisit。I'm gonna be honest -- I had written this book off despite its high rating and several recommendations because the cover made it look Too Contemporary For My Tastes (an endless plight, really)。 But after reluctantly giving in (thank you, Hannah Witton's assistant), I ended up enjoying every page。 And it *was* still contemporary but it was also very cute and funny and honest and normalizing and sexy and emotional and is maybe the best 4。5? Definitely in the Top 5。This is almost exactly the kind of romance I want to read and write (except, y'know, less contemporary :D)。 Highly recommend and will be checking out the sequels and more of this author's works。 。。。more
